Omar Tanweer, M.D. is a neurosurgeon specializing in the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. Dr. Tanweer’s clinical disciplines include open surgical, endovascular and radiosurgical treatment options. His interest in cerebrovascular approaches started while in medical school at the University of Buffalo. He completed his residency and fellowship training at New York University, where he later joined as faculty and led the NYU-LI Cerebrovascular efforts as director. Dr. Tanweer’s practice is now based at Baylor Medicine’s McNair Campus and Baylor St.
Dr. Starke is a member of the departments of Neurological Surgery, Neuroradiology, Neurosciences, and Pharmacology. He has a busy clinical practice performing more than 700 operations each year. He specializes in the treatment of cerebral vascular disease including arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms, and fistulas, cavernous malformaitons, moyamoya disease, carotid and intracranial stenosis including bypass surgery. He also treats all aspects of brain tumor and skull base surgery.
Dr. Krings studied medicine in Aachen, Germany during which he spent one year at Harvard Medical School in Boston. After residency training in Neuroradiology in Aachen with Prof. Armin Thron, he completed a neurointerventional fellowship with Professor Pierre Lasjaunias in Paris, France and subsequently joined the Neuroradiology division of the University of Toronto as a diagnostic and interventional Neuroradiologist in 2008.
