As a genetic counselor at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin, I see patients in our hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) clinic. In this specialty clinic, I help patients understand and navigate their genetic testing options and support patients' values and goals. As part of the HHT clinical care team, I review family and personal history with patients to help clarify risks. I also draw on my background as a medical librarian in addition to my genetic counseling experience to provide education on the genetics of HHT. I act as a resource for HHT patients and their families, and work closely with my pediatric genetic colleagues to make sure pediatric patients are quickly identified and also get appropriate testing and screening.
