Biography:
Dr. Beleford is a board-certified clinical geneticist and physician scientist with a research interest in lung physiology and rare genetic vascular diseases (diseases that affect normal blood vessel development). The Beleford Lab at UC Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, CA studies underlying changes in molecular signaling that cause vascular malformations in HHT and other genetic vascular conditions. Dr. Beleford has also been caring for HHT patients for the past 8 years - both at UCSF where she was trained, and at UC Davis where she has been an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Physiology & Membrane Biology since January 2023. She is deeply committed to understanding the underlying molecular changes that cause vascular malformations in HHT and to developing treatments for this condition.
