Biography: 
Director of the Pediatric Cath Lab at Rush University Medical Center: Following his undergraduate studies at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin Dr. Murphy joined the United States Peace Corps where he served for 2-1/2 years in the Central American country of Honduras. In the Peace Corps where he worked with public-health and rural drinking water systems as a field engineer. Additionally, he worked with US pediatric surgical teams treating cleft lips and palate and also pediatric ophthalmologists who were treating congenital cataracts. * Medical school: Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. * Pediatric residency: INOVA Fairfax Hospital for Children in Falls Church, Virginia. * Peds Cardiology Fellowship: Yale University where he worked closely with Bob White MD and Kate Henderson in the HHT Center at Yale. * Interventional Fellowship: Washington University St. Louis, St Louis Children's Hospital where he worked with Andy White MD and the HHT Center. * Present (January 2016) Director of the Pediatric Cath Lab at Rush University Medical Center, treating children and adults with Structural and Congenital heart disease as well as patients with HHT and Pulmonary AVMs.
