Biography: 
Dr Awad is the John Harper Seeley Professor of Surgery and Neurology, and Director of Neurovascular Surgery at the University of Chicago Medicine and Biological Sciences. He is a recognized leader in Neurovascular Surgery with three decades of experience in the treatment of cerebrovascular malformations, including HHT. Senior academic leader, has written more than 300 scientific articles and edited 11 books on neurovascular disease, including several original research discoveries related to HHT. Research contributions on vascular biology and hemorrhagic stroke funded by the National Institutes of Health. Awad leads the University of Chicago Multidisciplinary HHT Center, including the triage and referral of HHT patients to a panel of specialists in every area relevant to HHT, and the personal care of HHT patients with cerebrovascular malformations.
